Health coaches are experts in the science and progress of changing behavior to give you the results you just can't seem to find.

Health coaches can be experts in multiple fields with specialized training and niche knowledge allowing them to provide insight into whatever it is their expertise provides. While some coaches may have experience in one area while another has very little, we all have the ability to affect behavior change in the individuals we're working with. Behavior change is what a coach should provide at the core of the program. Where we are, is not where we want to be. While some degree of contentment is healthy, and sometimes necessary, progress and change typically drive our behavior and provide us with motivation to continue whatever journey we're on.

We fail at times because we task ourselves with grand ideas and end goals. Long term goals are part of successful planning for your future. But we need to provide ourselves with the daily success involved in steady progress. These small successes, or wins, provide us the needed external motivation to keep going and aiming higher each day.

The boy told the horse he could not see his way through the forest. He was lost. The horse asked the boy if he could see his next step. The boy replied, "Yes." The horse said, "Then just take that." -Chinese Proverb

Can't seem to make it to the gym each morning? Developing a routine with benchmarks can carry you through and essentially automate the process. Getting out of bed. Win. Getting dressed. Win. Driving to the gym. Win. Getting up early and driving to the gym only to turn around and go home and carry on with your typical day may seem like time not well spent. But compare it to the countless days you hit the snooze button and then regretted never even having the intention in the AM to put your feet on the floor. Tiny steps each day equals massive progress over time.
