Keeping up with your kids and being able to play with them outside is an absolute joy!

Exercise and physical activity has always been central to my life. Daily movement and pushing my capabilities in various forms has always been something I've enjoyed. When I finally had a kid of my own, I never regretted keeping in shape. All the time spent working out was more than worth it.

My daughter loves to run. More than once, we've run over a mile at her suggestion. "Let's go run, dad!" Being able to head out the door and run for as long as her little legs can carry her makes me proud to be her dad. At the playground we can play tag for hours and run and jump off all the obstacles. It's great to be able to keep up with her. I love showing her being physical and maintaining a healthy amount of exercise is something you should continue to strive for every single day.

Having a steady exercise routine or starting to get in shape for the sake of your children is two-fold. You can keep up with your younger counterparts physically if you're already keeping in shape on your own each day and week. And your children will have their parents around longer because they have adopted a healthier lifestyle. A sedentary life equates to less time with those you love. Being active means you get more moments with the people most important to you.

Regardless of if you have children, family, friends, anyone that means anything to you whom you wish to spend more time with, you should exercise. The benefits are abundant and it's clear it will improve your life and make things better. It's not a catch all cure for anything that seems wrong in your life. But I'd be hard pressed to find anyone that claims exercising routinely has decreased their level of satisfaction with their day to day life.

Wish to start your own daily activity regimen or exercise routine? We can do it together!
